Zach and basketball
Basketball finished up at the end of February. I was so proud of Zach after Christmas he had earned a spot on the Varsity Team. He stilled played alot of JV time but he had worked hard and accomplished his goal!!
Starting of 2013
We are only half way through the year and it already feels like a full year. In November 2012 Nathan proposed to Krislyn at the Biltmore House.

Not much going on!

Christmas at Nanny Lacy's. Zach looks so little. He was in elementary school.
This time of the year is extremely busy for Matt. I have been working out of town all week in Kingsport, TN and am so ready to go home tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you to Nicole and Addison Carter for inviting Zach to go with the First Methodist Youth group Whitewater Rafting this weekend. I know this will be a terriffic experience for him. At our small church he is the only youth so I am really glad for him to have the opportunity to participate in activities and bible studies geared toward youth. Because I have been gone since Sunday I have been a little home sick so I was looking at pictures that I had on my phone so I thought I would post them. The ones of the kids are about a year old but I still love looking at them.

Catching up!
A lot has been going on the last couple of months. Matt is very busy with work but we could sure use some rain. I started a new job on June 4 with Kraft CPAs in Nashville. Still doing bank compliance work. Oh yea I totaled my car. Not fun! Our niece Tori graduated from high school and turned 18 all within one week and the best nephew in the world, Andrew turned 23. Matt and I celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary so hard to believe. Zach has been spending the month of June with basketball practice and camps. That is over now until school starts, which I am sure Matt will be glad to have his work buddy back. If I can figure out how I am going to try to post some pictures from different things. Krislyn, if you happen to read these please don't correct my grammar or punctuation. I know it is lacking. Guess that is the downside of having a daughter that is an English teacher!

Happy Birthday Memah!
Today is a sad and joyful day for me. Today would have been our Memah's 97th birthday. Got to spend a couple of ours with my mom by going to the cemetary and sharing stories about Memah. At times she could be such a hoot! She spoiled and loved all of her great grandchildren. Even though they didn't live close by she constantly talked about our Yankee cousins and their beautiful children. Mom and I were talking about if she were with us today how she would have died with worry with all of her great grandchildren growing up and moving away. She had those in Illinois, Colorado, Krislyn in Knoxville, Andrew in Chattanooga, Hayley Beth in Murfreesboro and Zach has recently announce to me that he wants to go to Tennessee Tech in Cookeville. Of course he has no clue what he wants to study but he does know if he can't get a basketball scholarship he is going to try to walk on. Gotta give it to him he has gusto! In honor of Memah, and it is also a comfort to me, I am going to quote her favorite Bible verse:
Psalm 23:
The lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3. He restoreth my soul: he leadethe me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4. Yea, though I walk through the balley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evei: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou annointest my heas with oil; my cup rnneth over. 6. Surely gooddness and mercey shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
